If you love popcorn, movies or jewelry that is unique and different, then this is the necklace for you! This beaded popcorn necklace was made entirely in glazed ceramics around 1985 by artist C.O. Day of Mclean, Virgina. It features oversized (and rather realistic) popped popcorn beads and round yellow butter spacer beads. It is signed on a yellow bead at the clasp C.O. Day. It is reminiscent of the popular and whimsical California pottery designs that were made in the 80's but I was not able to find much information on this artist other than these popcorn pieces were featured in a newspaper. The clasp is a sturdy barrel clasp. Truly a conversation piece!
Condition: Excellent/very good with a few small chips in the clear glaze of some popcorn pieces. Since the clay is white, they are very hard to see and do not show in photographs. They do not detract.
