Anti-Tarnish Poly Tabs Package of Ten

These anti-tarnish tabs can be placed inside storage baggies, boxes etc. to help keep your metal jewelry, beads and parts from tarnishing. They are impregnated with a material that neutralizes the gases in the air that cause metals to tarnish. This is the same technology that we have used for many years in the paper form, but in a non-abrasive and smooth plastic version. So they are well suited for fighting tarnish on your jewelry findings for things that are prone to scratching like resins and acrylics.

Anti-tarnish products work best and last the longest in totally sealed containers but will also work well in semi-sealed ones. If you live in a climate where jewelry is extremely prone to tarnish or you have lots of sulfur/gases in your air, you may find that it retards the tarnish but it does not keep it away completely. In our tests we have found that this remaining tarnish cleans up easier with a polishing cloth so there is still some benefit there. 

To use: Just pop a tab into your baggie or your jewelry storage box. Tabs can last up to 12 months in sealed containers but we have had them last even longer than that in our little zip lock baggies storing jewelry findings. For things like paper boxes, you will want to replace them more often due to the air exchange. Just check your items every once in awhile to get a good idea of how often you will need to replace them since every storage area is different. Be sure to store your unused tabs in the included zip lock baggie until you are ready to use them.
