A brass and glass necklace in radiant red! The necklace measures approx. 34 inches long and has an ornate brass centerpiece. The centerpiece holds a red faceted glass stone that is approx. 7/8th of an inch wide. The top of the necklace was made with hand knotted red beads which changes to filigree beads, decorative links and beadcaps towards the center. I was told that this is a late Victorian piece, but it is possible that it could be a little later than that.
This necklace is in great condition for its age! There is age appropriate patina to the brass. One link and a bead cap have a little vertigree (see photo) but nothing that detracts. One of the round red beads has a little chip in it as well. Other than that it is a marvelous and stunning necklace.
