This French peacock pin is set with paste, clear rhinestones on the body and tail and a single red rhinestone for the eye. The tail is domed and the body of the peacock is raised giving it a lovely 3D effect. It is plated in a non-sterling silver metal such as chromium and is in the Art Deco style. The pin is faintly signed FRANCE underneath the trombone clasp. Most of the rhinestones appear to have a high, small table that is seen in older pieces and this does have many of the attributes of an actual Art Deco period pin. I was not able to precisely confirm the age of it though so we are calling it Art Deco style to be cautious.
Condition: In very good condition. Some of the stones have yellowed slightly and some have a tinge of gray. A few stones do not have as small of a table as some others so they may be replacements. There is minor loss of plating. Nothing that really detracts.
