This pin is simply lovely! Some folks call this "spun silver" and it is also known as silver filigree. You will love the craftmanship of this intricate flower pin. It has multiple layers of petals with little ball tipped stamens in the center. There are three leaves and a curved stem. We did not clean this pin at all. It is in fabulous condition with no breaks in the filigree!
This particular pin is unusual for a few reasons. It is stamped 835 silver which is a European silver mark for 83.5% silver which was used up until the 1920's (sterling is 92.5%). It has a c clasp and older style hinge. That should date it somewhere between Victorian and Edwardian time periods. There is also a mark of "SH". It is hard to date European jewelry, so until I can find some confirmation I'm not calling it "antique" and the pricing is based upon vintage values.
