This lovely amber pendant was part of retired Silpada necklace design N1285 and it features a square shaped and polished amber bead. It has been securely added to a sterling silver bail with a black rondelle and smaller sterling bead at the bottom. The original Silpada necklace was a multi strand black leather cord with the Silpada tag by the clasp.
This looks like Baltic amber which has many refractive "sun spots" or "lily pad" inclusions. Because of this, the pendant is very sparkly when turned in the light. I could not capture the sparkles on film very well but it is truly a beautiful pendant. Sometimes amber is heat treated to increase the number of sun spots, so this was probably heat treated. The bail has an opening that is approx. 8mm wide so you could add this
many necklace styles. It would even look great on a leather cord for
