A rare figural pin of a Chinese man holding a large cloisonne bead. The bead is about an inch wide and is decorated with a dragon flying through swirly clouds. This is a Western design attributed to Louis C. Mark for Rice-Weiner. The bead itself is of Chinese manufacture and the piece dates to the 1940's. This is believed to be from the same series as the well known water carrier.
Condition: In very good condition with a few small chips around one side of the hole of the bead and another possible chip in the curve of the dragon. There is some loss of the plating but less than what I have seen on other pins from this series. The pin works well.
