A very unusual vintage red rhinestone bow brooch in a black Japanned finish! This brooch was created with a top and a lower bottom portion that can be removed. So you may wear just the top of the bow or both pieces together depending on your outfit.
The lower section has a small loop that slides over the pinstem. So to wear it, you pin the bow in and out of your clothing halfway, slide on the lower portion, and then pin in and out of your clothes again before you close the clasp. There are also two rings at the bottom but since I cannot find another example of this piece anywhere I am not sure if they are there for stability or if this had additional dangles etc. at one time. It is unsigned and a bit of a super cool mystery.
